FieldTeam Supervisor

Our client is looking for a Field Team Supervisor to join their large, team-oriented department which supports customers in their homes and commercial buildings.  This is a field-based role, and you will be provided with a van depending on location.  We are looking for 1 person based in Kent - ME postcode. 

This role will see you leading a team of Technicians who support customers in their homes and commercial buildings (such as offices, supermarkets, cinema, churches, anything commercial) with their restoration and repair.  You will work a 39-hour week and can work at an overtime rate over 39 hours.  You may be required to work away, and you will need to assure that you have a driveway or somewhere visible to park the van if kept overnight.  Full training will be given for the role which will see you develop great technical skills in the field of restoration and repair.  The company is hugely invested in personal training and career development.  

Role responsibilities will include: 

  • Undertaking the initial site inspection, scoping, pricing and reporting the findings.
  • Liaising with customers/loss adjusters/builders/insurance companies/policyholders as required.
  • Carrying out the scope of works once approval has been received from the instructing principal.
  • Responsible for the completion of Method Statements, Risk Assessment, Asbestos and Construction Phase Plan (CPP) in relation to the project.
  • Implementation of suitable drying techniques.
  • Undertaking moisture surveys during the drying process (using remote monitoring where possible).
  • Ensuring the instructing principal is regularly updated on the project's progress and variations to order are obtained for any changes to the project structure/costs.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day contact with the customer and keeping them appraised of progress.
  • Liaising with the claims handler to keep them up to date on all aspects of the project.  
  • Adherence to the Company Management Procedures, Quality and Health & Safety Policies always.
  • Ensuring the van is equipped, clean and serviced according to manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Ensuring your own and others health & safety and that technicians are fully trained on all aspects relating to their role.
  • Maintaining a visit log for monitoring drying projects and to provide a structure for future bookings.

To be suitable for this role, you will:

  • Hold a UK manual driving licence
  • Have people-management experience, able to delegate and monitor progress. 
  • Positive attitude towards innovation and change
  • Experience within the restoration industry, such as building and mould/bacteria knowledge, and experience in water damage and fire restoration
  • Have working health & Safety awareness
  • Have good manual dexterity
  • Have a good understanding of computer packages
  • Use strong verbal communication skills and good organisation/administration abilities
  • Maintain a flexible approach to the role, including participation in the call out rota and some anti social working hours (including weekends).
