Project Manager - Engineering Sector Permanent Full-TimeSalary - Circa £42,000 DOE Location - In office, Rochester Are you an experienced Project Manager looking for your next exciting challenge?We're partnering with a respected leader in industrial food processing and packaging solutions. With decades of innovation in the engineering sector, this company delivers cutting-edge systems and bespoke solutions to optimise efficiency across the food and beverage industry.This role offers the chance to lead impactful projects within a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Working with state-of-the-art equipment, you'll drive success on high-profile projects while benefiting from professional development opportunities and career growth.Responsibilities, but are not limited to

  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to understand requirements, ensure accurate solutions and quotes, and provide regular updates
  • Lead design reviews and oversee the creation of detailed 2D/3D models, manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and installation documents using tools like DraftSight and SolidWorks
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to manage materials, place orders, track deliveries, and maintain stock levels for efficient production
  • Monitor and manage project progress, resolving errors or delays and implementing process improvements to enhance workflows
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, from quotation to installation, ensuring quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction
  • Compile project documentation, including costings, technical files, and quotation proposals for machinery and turnkey solutions
  • Supervise and support engineering personnel and design teams, managing data and drawings within a PDM system
  • Conduct site surveys across the UK and Ireland and participate in production progress meetings
  • Review plans with senior management to validate feasibility and align with business objectives

Experiences required

  • Proven experience in Project Management, ideally within the engineering or machinery sector
  • Educational background in engineering (apprenticeship, HNC, or higher)
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools (Solid Edge, Inventor, Fusion 360, CATIA, Creo)
  • Desirable: PRINCE2 or AgilePM certification
