Our client is seeking a Mechanical Estimator for a well-established building services engineering company based in Maidstone, Kent. Specialising in electrical installation, plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning services, as well as other specialist commercial construction projects, this company has grown consistently since its founding in 1984. This role has arisen due to internal promotions.

The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical construction projects around £250k in value. This role involves analysing project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine the project's cost and develop detailed estimates.

Mechanical Estimators' key duties will include reviewing project plans, which involves analysing drawings, schematics, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates. This includes calculating costs, determining material, equipment, and labour requirements, and preparing detailed bids. Responsibilities also encompass PQQ and ITT documentation submission, coordinating with stakeholders, identifying risks, maintaining records, negotiating supplier prices, and staying updated on industry trends.
