Role: Marketing Manager - Offline Direct Response MarketingLocation: Maidstone based offices, likely 3 days a week Salary: Up to £50,000 basic Benefits: Good performance based bonus, pension, 25 days leave plus lots more.

This is a traditional performance marketing role within a major multi-channel retail health-tech organisation. Owning the offline direct response marketing channels which includes direct mail, DRTV, inserts and off the page marketing channels.

It’s a multi-channel programme with a multi-million Pound media spend behind it. This combines with other channels, including digital and retail to create a fully integrated direct response and performance marketing programme responsible for generating most of the company’s new customer leads and conversions.

It’s a decent sized function made up of around 20+ people, and you’ll be reporting to the Head of Acquisition. Your role will be autonomous, owning the channels assigned to you. Including the agency relationship from creation of briefs, critiquing their response. Right through to test and learn, campaign execution, post evaluation, etc. etc.

One of the biggest parts will be DRTV - knowing how to go through the creative process to come out with campaigns for TV which perform and achieve results. How to plan media, measure campaign results and optimise effectively for that channel at a local, regional and national level.

The team you’ll be joining are filled with inspirational leadership. It’s a big aspect of this organisation they pride themselves on. Providing an environment where people feel supported. Where the people you’ll be working with and learning from each have highly credible marketing pedigrees themselves. They know what good looks like and can impart that knowledge in a supportive way which will help you become a highly effective marketer, and in turn, inspirational leader yourself to your own team one day too.

About the company

Perhaps not the biggest brand in the world, but they are the biggest of their kind in the UK. Specialising in healthcare tech sold direct to the consumer, and part of an organisation with a global presence which turns over circa £4bn p.a. and 10,000 people.

Something they absolutely personify is that of being a business with strong family values, and in recent years have demonstrated on numerous occasions how this translates beyond a 'just business’ environment which makes them a fantastic place to be part of.

It’s reflected in their tenure too, as people who join, stay… they grow careers with the company and flourish because of the opportunities they provide coupled with being an environment people enjoy being a part of.

KEY EXPERIENCE

  • You know how to manage processes for offline campaigns across direct mail, DRTV, door drops, inserts, etc. Handling media planning, creative processes, agency briefing and management, etc.
  • Solid offline direct response marketing credentials with knowledge of direct mail in particular, as well as other offline direct response media channels
  • Good analytical skills. Able to evidence use of data to inform targeting and media strategies
  • Results focused. With an astute focus on measurement and optimisation of campaigns
  • Experienced in budgetary and agency management - particularly working with media and creative agencies
  • Any experience in subscriptions based, or regulated industry businesses a real plus
