My client, a leading Housing provider based in Kent, is seeking an InterimĀ Head of Risk, Governance, and Data Protection to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a broad and impactful role that oversees governance, risk, compliance, data protection and internal audit functions, ensuring the organisation meets its regulatory obligations and maintains high standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Governance and Risk functions of a high performing Housing Association, including leading a small team of dedicated professionals.
  • Overseeing Data Protection activities, managing the internal audit contract, overseeing Procurement activity, and owning the business continuity plan.
  • Leading the organisationā€™s response to consultations, including regulatory rent consultations.
  • Coordinating compliance with consumer standards and completing key assessments.
  • Delivering risk management activities, including horizon scanning, board engagement, and year-end compliance reviews.
  • Maintaining and ensuring adherence to governance policies.
  • Preparing the organisation for successful regulatory investigations.
