My client is a leading M&E contractor seeking an Electrical Project Manager to join the team in a permanent role. Specialising in commercial and industrial MEP installations, predominantly carrying out electrical design, installation and commissioning. They offer a range of services including building, electrical, plumbing and maintenance, working on unique commercial and industrial projects.
Electrical Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards
- Manage the preparation of project plans, risk assessments and health and safety documentation
- Develop and manage project budgets, including cost control and forecasting
- Liaise with clients, contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective project management
- Plan and monitor project resources, including labour, materials and equipment
- Lead and mentor project teams
- Identify and analyse any project issues and develop solutions to ensure project success
- Organise and lead electrical projects from concept to completion
- Develop project plans and ensure timely completion of jobs
- Manage budgets, resources and personnel to ensure projects are completed within time and budget constraints
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates. Report project progress to senior management
Electrical Project Manager Requirements:
- ECS 18th Edition Gold Card
- Full UK Driving licence
- Background in Commercial/Industrial Electrical Installation and Electrical Control Systems
- Ability to understand electrical specifications, schematics, drawings, block cable diagrams, BoQ's, BoM's with a good understanding of electrical standards
- Ability to complete Tender submissions and complete PQQ's to a high standard
- High attention to detail and strong business acumen's to understanding project costs
- Excellent IT Skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willing to develop and learn new skills with on and off the job training
