Electrical Hardware Design Engineer

South Kent – based on site

£40-45k – based on experience and skillset

Monday – Friday - 37 hours per week

Are you an Electronics Engineer with a background in Hardware Design?

Have you carried out NPD projects for low voltage products?

Pearson Whiffin’s Manufacturing, Engineering and Technical division are delighted to be representing a very well-established business specialising in the manufacture of electrical equipment for use across multiple sectors.

The Role

  • Working collaboratively in a team, you will be carrying out a wide variety of duties – no two days are the same!
  • New product development project management – end to end design and testing of hardware
  • Use of design software to create electronic circuits
  • Extensive testing – both simulation and laboratory based
  • Innovative problem solving
  • Enhance existing instruments by integrating new features and improving functionality.
  • Address obsolescence challenges, finding effective solutions to maintain system performance.
  • All associated project management administration

To considered, as a minimum you will:

  • Be educated to degree, HND or HNC level (or equivalent) and have achieved a good grade within Electronic Engineering or similar
  • Have ‘real world’ experience post study of electronic product design
  • Have designed low-level analogue electronic products
  • Be able to demonstrate clear in-depth understanding of analogue design
  • Be a good communicator
  • Have the Right to Work in the UK permanently with no restrictions – WE CANNOT CONSIDER CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT MEET THIS REQUIREMENT

The IDEAL candidate will also:

  • Have good knowledge of quality and design standards such as ISO 9001, IEC 61010, Mil Spec
  • Have previous experience using Altium ECAD
  • Be able to use simulation tools such as Matlab or MathCAD
  • Hold professional membership within an engineering institution
