A great opportunity has arisen with a very successful engineering company based in Medway Towns for a Lead Electrical Engineer.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be conducting all electrical works on company products in the factory and maintain all electrical systems on site.

Your main duties will include:

  • Design of electrical systems.
  • Working with other departments to ensure set specifications are followed.
  • Wiring of Service Distribution Units.
  • Site wiring of extractor systems.
  • Testing of Service Distribution Units, issuing relevant test certificates.
  • Carrying out planned and new maintenance of the factory including testing where required.
  • Training and mentoring Apprentice Electrician.
  • Consult with Research & Development team to ensure new products and components are ready. for manufacture when released to into Production, including drawings & instructions.
  • First fix for fire suppression products.
  • Maintain NICEIC accreditation responsibilities (external auditing and sign off).

Experience/Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on site and within a warehouse/factory environment.
  • Desirable- Apprenticed served electrician.
  • Qualified to 18th Edition wiring regulations.
  • City and Guilds Test and Inspection.
  • IT Literate.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred.

Working Hours: 07.00-15.30 Monday-Friday
