Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading organisation in the heavy manufacturing sector to recruit a skilled Category Manager to join their procurement team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in managing and optimising waste management and environmental services across multiple sites, ensuring commercial effectiveness and sustainability targets are met.
The Role:As Category Manager, you will take ownership of the waste management category, driving supplier performance and delivering cost-effective solutions that align with business and environmental goals. You will:

Lead procurement strategy and category planning across waste and recycling services

Develop strong supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to maximise value

Collaborate with site managers and stakeholders across the UK to standardise practices

Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and company policies

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and explore innovative waste solutions

Proven experience as a Category Manager or in a similar strategic procurement role

Background in heavy manufacturing or industrial sectors preferred

Comfortable working across multi-site operations
