Trainee manufacturing operative

Salary - £25K

Hours - Monday - Thursday 0630 - 1530, Friday 0630 - 1130 (35 hours per week)

Overtime - available at an enhanced rate

We are recruiting for a well established, successful and growing organisation based close to Maidstone. We have a rare opportunity for a trainee to join the team and learn the business from the bottom up, providing you with training and development to learn a skilled trade. There are various opportunities in different areas for you to explore and lots of opportunity for progression! We'd love to speak with candidates that have an interest in engineering or enjoy working in a manufacturing environment.

Duties:

  • Operating machinery and Counterbalance Forklift - full training will be provided

  • Assisting colleagues in the production process with various tasks

  • Manual handling

  • Keeping work areas clear and tidy

  • Disposing of and recycling waste products

  • Learning new skills and manufacturing processes

  • Working safely and following all H&S procedures

Requirements:

  • Eagerness to learn new techniques and machinery

  • Comfortable with manual labour

  • Keen attention to detail and quality

  • Experience using hand tools and/or machinery

  • Experience working in a manufacturing/factory environment is advantageous

  • An interest in engineering/manufacturing processes
