This is a pivotal role overseeing all finance activities for a sector leading manufacturing company based in Kent. The Head of Finance will be responsible for managing the company's finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, record-keeping, and financial reporting.

Description
As the Head of Finance / Finance Director you will report to the MD, and will oversee all financial operations for the business, whilst supported by a capable team across all sites / subdivisions
Your role will include:
- Reporting to the Group Finance Director and Managing Director
- Managing the production of monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts as directed.
- Key involvement in the utilisation, upgrading and development of IT systems and reporting
- Cost management, and job costing
- Stock management
- Manage the ledgers and credit control functions as well as payroll.
- Take a proactive approach to the wider business as a key part of the management team
- Reporting the finance at the monthly meeting and taking an active role in justifying machinery investment decisions.
- Monitoring and reviewing the machine rates and financial profiles of the capital equipment.
- Partnering with the Head of Operations in maintaining and developing the efficiency KPI's and waste reporting and controls.
Profile
The successful 'Head of Finance' should have:
- A formal accounting qualification - CIMA, ACCA or ACA - with relevant experience of leading a manufacturing business.
- Proven experience as Head of Finance, Director of Finance, Financial Controller or similar level of seniority
- Strong costing and manufacturing finance skill set
- The ability to engage your team and enhance performance
- An operational curiosity.
