Ocean Freight Import Clerk  

£28k - £29k DOE

Office Based Role 

Our well-established client are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Ocean Freight Import Clerk to join their already flourishing team!

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitating all aspects of Ocean import shipments from collection, shipping, pre alert, delivery and invoicing 
  • Regular contact with customers to update them on shipments or anything else necessary 
  • Liaising with suppliers and agents ensuring customer requirements are met for import shipments
  • Ensure shipping documents are completed fully in an efficient and thorough manner inline with regulations 
  • Accurately prepare, control and distribute all relevant import documentation to counterparts including carrier, consignee and supplier, making this is fully compliant within regulations 
  • Follows-up shipment status in the import area; identify incidents and ensure the resolution of incidents 
  • Ensure all shipments are confirmed in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements:

  • 2 years of Ocean Import experience 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Results driven 
  • Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
  • Good time management
