Our client, a leading family-based manufacturing organisation, is seeking a Cold Forging Supervisor to oversee daily operations in their thriving cold forging department. About the Role

As the Cold Forging Supervisor, you will:

  • Lead, train, and support team members in cold forging processes, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
  • Oversee production flow to maintain quality and efficiency standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols and compliance standards across the department.

What You’ll Bring

Our client is looking for a proactive leader with:

  • Technical Expertise: A strong background in toolmaking, CNC machining, or cold forging processes, with extensive hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting cold forging machinery such as headers, thread rollers, and induction heating systems.
  • Precision Skills: Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., Vernier callipers, micrometers, gauges) and experience conducting inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a manufacturing environment, with a track record of effective planning, coaching, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of Materials: A solid understanding of forging different metals, including steel, aluminium, and alloys, ensuring consistent and high-quality output.

Desired Qualifications

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with engineering drawings.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations specific to cold forging environments.
