Designer required to join a well-established construction specialist based in Maidstone. This company work on exciting roofing and cladding projects within the industrial, retail and commercial sector throughout the South-East. Our client are a well-established, small business which allows employee's to get involved in multiple aspects of the business and work closely with senior management. The company have a strong pipeline of projects in the diary as they have partnered with the top Main Contractors in the UK and are renowned as a 'go-to' roofing and cladding business for them.

Designer Position Remuneration

Designer Position Overview

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D models of roofing systems, including components, structures, and materials, using industry-standard software.
  • Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to develop innovative roofing concepts that meet client needs and project specifications.
  • Generate accurate technical drawings and specifications to guide construction teams during project execution.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is realized throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in roofing design to bring fresh ideas to the team.
  • Participate in client meetings and site visits to understand their vision and provide design insights and recommendations.

Designer Position Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D design, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work, ideally within the roofing or construction industry.
  • Proficient in 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Rhino, 3ds Max) and rendering tools (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape).
  • Solid understanding of roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
  • Strong creative skills with an eye for detail, composition, and aesthetic quality
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
