We are seeking a skilled Service and Maintenance Gas Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for the inspection, installation, service, maintenance, and repair of commercially purposed boilers and heating systems. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a significant impact in a hands-on role while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation of boilers and systems, ensuring all safety standards are met.
  • Diagnose issues, repair breakdowns, and replace faulty components in heating systems.
  • Troubleshoot gas supply and system functionality problems, providing feedback to identify additional business opportunities.
  • Conduct gas safety checks, identifying potential hazards and addressing any concerns.
  • Participate in plant room refurbishments, upgrading equipment and optimizing energy efficiency.
  • Be part of the on-call rotation to respond to emergency breakdowns.
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance on-site, including completing risk assessments, RAMs, and incident reporting.
  • Service and commission boiler plant, gas appliances, and plant room equipment.
  • Complete necessary engineer reports, test sheets, and service records.
  • Maintain accurate logs for equipment details and spare parts for future maintenance needs.
  • Manage hired equipment, ensuring correct use and return.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role working with commercial gas systems.
  • Relevant Gas Qualifications.
  • Ability to use technology to manage workflows and complete reporting.
  • Strong customer service skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Asbestos Awareness certification.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Experience working at heights and handling equipment manually.
