Position: Full-Time Teaching Assistant
Location: Maidstone
Hours: 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: 15 per hour
We are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support primary school students aged 4-11 years old whose primary need is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In this role, you will provide essential support to help students thrive in both academic and social aspects of school life, working closely with teachers to ensure students receive the guidance they need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 and group support to students with ASD.
- Assist teachers in delivering lesson plans that meet the specific needs of students.
- Help students develop social and communication skills.
- Manage and support students with ASD in coping with daily school routines.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with ASD
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping young people succeed.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEND is desirable but not essential.
- Be able to travel to Maidstone.
