About the Role

As a Psychology Graduate Classroom Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a variety of needs, including those with special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and learning difficulties. You will work closely with teachers, offering one-to-one and small group support to help students thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students in and out of the classroom
  • Assist with lesson planning and classroom management
  • Work with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement individualised education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor and track student progress
  • Support the emotional well-being of students, fostering a positive and inclusive environment

Requirements:

  • A degree in psychology or related field
  • An interest in working with children, particularly those with SEN or SEMH
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
