Job Advertisement: Head of Housekeeping - Care Home (Maidstone)

I am seeking an experienced and dedicated Head of Housekeeping to lead our clients housekeeping team at their care home in Maidstone. This is a key role, ensuring our residents enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team (team of 5), ensuring high standards of cleanliness throughout the care home.
• Oversee the cleaning, laundry, and maintenance of all communal areas and residents' rooms.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, infection control protocols, and internal policies.
• Manage stock levels of cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a housekeeping supervisory or management role, preferably within a care home or healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• A good understanding of hygiene and safety regulations.

Contract Details:

• 30 hours per week with shifts from 8am - 4pm.
• Weekend work may be required on a rotational basis.
• Rate of pay: £13.00 per hour, negotiable during the interview process.
