HR Administrator Job Purpose

The HR Administrator will support the HR department in day-to-day operations, assist with the administration of the HR policies, procedures, and programs, and contribute to the development of HR initiatives and systems.

HR Administrator Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support for various HR functions including recruitment, payroll processing, and employee benefits.
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data, etc.) according to policy and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and systems.
  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
  • Redirect HR-related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team.
  • Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects.
  • Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts, etc.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant, or relevant role.
  • Experience with HR software, like HRIS or HRMS.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular).
  • Thorough knowledge of labor laws.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  • Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of payroll practices.
