HR Advisor (People Advisor) 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Are you a hands on experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic and varied role?

We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is resilient and thrives in a fast paced environments, supporting managers across a range of ER cases. This is a hybrid role and there will be a requirement to travel to their offices for meetings, team days and services in Kent, London and Hampshire. Ideally you will be based in the Kent area, and must have access to your own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Advice and guidance to line managers on employee relations issues: disciplinary matters, grievances, sickness absence, performance management, probation periods, and flexible working requests.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and current employment legislation.
  • Support line managers in the recruitment and selection process.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and projects, including employee health and wellbeing, such as Occupational Health.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date employee records and HR systems.

About You:

  • At least two years' experience as a HR Advisor or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices.
  • Experience in advising managers on a range of HR issues.
  • A proactive, solution focused approach with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint) and HR systems.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Human Resource Practice (or equivalent experience) is required, and CIPD qualification is desirable.
  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle.
