Your new companyA not-for-profit organisation with flexible working policies including hybrid working arrangements based in the North Kent area. 1 day a week in the office in Maidstone (Tuesdays) plus any extra occasional meetings as required.Your new roleYou will have a number of key focusses in this role:
- Develop and manage quality assurance frameworks to ensure operational effectiveness and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Undertake audits to assess adherence to policies and procedures.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls, identifying any gaps or weaknesses and recommending corrective actions.
- Partner with key stakeholders to align quality assurance frameworks with KPI's and strategic goals.
- Support the sharing and analysis of data related to audits, controls, and performance metrics, ensuring alignment between compliance findings and strategic performance objectives.
- Supports the DPO in relation to assurance of GDPR and other data-related compliance.
- Collaborate to identify and prioritise process improvement initiatives that drive better organisational performance.
- Support the preparation and analysis of reports related to governance and compliance metrics, providing insights to key stakeholders.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on assurance and controls matters.
What you'll need to succeed
- You will be an experienced internal auditor, risk management, or compliance specialist with experience gained in a regulated environment, preferably in the public or not-for-profit sector.
- You will have a strong understanding of quality assurance frameworks, internal controls, and compliance processes.
- Plus strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and issues from data and reports.
- You will have excellent communication skills, and be able to liaise effectively with all levels of internal and external staff, including SLT.
- You will have strong knowledge of governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
