ROLE: IT Support Analyst

LOCATION: Outskirts of Maidstone, KentSALARY: £33,000 - £37,000 THE COMPANY

A successful organisation is looking for an experienced IT Support Analyst ideally from the education sector. This organisation work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm, fully office based. Due to office location you will need access to your own transport.

THE JOB

The client is looking for a strong IT support Analyst who has experience working in an educational environment with a focus on software rather than hardware. You will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach to ensure the effective operation and improvement of their IT systems.

The main duties include:-

  • Work with the IT Systems and Data Manager and our External IT Support Services to manage and maintain the School's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers and hardware.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of all IT systems to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Provide onsite technical support to departments, staff and pupils, resolving software, hardware, and network issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an efficient helpdesk system to prioritise and address IT related requests and enquiries.
  • IT support and set up and events and interviews.
  • Maintaining of the photocopiers and printers.
  • Maintaining of the telephones and mobile phones.
  • Work with the IT Systems Manager and External IT Support Services to collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify opportunities for integrating technology into curriculum and administrative processes.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and educational trends to recommend innovative solutions that enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and knowledgebase articles for IT systems and procedures.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users on IT tools and technologies.
  • A strong working knowledge of how Microsoft Office products work, as well as a good understanding of how SharePoint operates is desired. Bespoke training and support in these will also be provided to the successful applicant if necessary.
  • A willingness to become familiar with third party software platforms is essential so that specific software support can be either directly provided or efficiently sourced when such problems arise.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Recent experience in a similar role and IT systems management focussing on software rather than hardware
  • Experience working within the Education industry
  • Strong technical proficiency in network administration, system administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience and understanding of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft server environments.
