- We are looking for a Senior Calibration Technician (Instrumentation and Process Controls) Engineer to join a global biopharmaceutical manufacturing company in the Kent area.
- The role involves being the Technical Lead in the Maintenance Team, ensuring optimal performance of various measurement instruments and equipment.
- Candidates should have a City & Guilds, Apprenticeship, or similar qualification in an engineering discipline, with proven calibration experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- A working knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, preferably Allen Bradley or Siemens, is required.
- The position offers a competitive salary, and candidates should have several years of relevant experience in the field.
KEYDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
YourdutiesastheSeniorCalibrationTechnicianwillbevariedhoweverthekeydutiesandresponsibilitiesareasfollows:
1.EnsureCalibrationandMaintenanceStandardsaremaintainedandoptimized.Workingonvarioustypesofsensors,includingpressure,temperature,flow,mass,humidityandPHmetres.
2.ServeasthetechnicalleadwithinthemaintenanceteamforprocesscontrolissuesgeneratedfromPLC,SCADA,andHMIsystems.
3.Youwillanalyseresultsandmaydeveloptestspecificationsandelectricalschematics.Youwillcarryoutreliabilityandperformancetestsonequipmentandmakeadjustmentsrequired.
4.DevelopcontrolsandgoodpracticesforPLC,SCADA,andHMItoensurerecoveryintheeventoffailure.
ROLEREQUIREMENTS:
TobesuccessfulinyourapplicationtothisexcitingroleastheSeniorCalibrationTechnician,wearelookingtoidentifythefollowingonyourprofileandpasthistory:
1.YouwillbesuitablyqualifiedwithaCity&Guilds,ApprenticeshiporsimilarinanengineeringdisciplinesuchasControls&Instrumentation
2.Provencalibrationexperienceworkinginahighlyregulatedmanufacturingenvironment,suchasPharmaceutical,Food,BeverageorChemical.IdeallytoGMPstandards.
3.AworkingknowledgeandpracticalexperiencewithPLC,SCADA,andHMIsystems.IdeallyAllenBradleyorSiemens.
