About the Role:

We are seeking aWater Testing Assistantto support the Water Testing Engineer with testing, chlorination, and sampling of new water networks. This role involves working closely with the Water Testing Engineer to ensure all activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high technical standard. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to water utilitiesinfrastructure while developing your skills in a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exercise safe working practices in line with theHealth and Safety at Work Act (1974), wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Assist the Water Testing Engineer in pressure testing, chlorinating, and commissioning water infrastructure.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of water testing, chlorinating, and sampling procedures, with training and guidance from the Water Testing Engineer.
  • Support Final and Secondary Connections activities (complex and non-complex), with opportunities for professional development in these areas.
  • Conduct daily site-specific risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure vehicles, plant, and equipment are in good condition, reporting defects to the team leader or project manager.
  • Attend toolbox talks and other training sessions as required.
  • Record and submit accurate work details for project tracking and invoicing.

Essential Criteria:

  • Water Safety Passport
  • Water Hygiene Certification
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience in water mains testing, chlorination, and sampling
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a field-based environment
