An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Town Planner to join a well-established and highly regarded planning practice in Kent.

About the Role:As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in providing planning advice on a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. You will be responsible for managing planning applications, preparing and submitting planning reports, and liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders. Your expertise will help to deliver high-quality solutions while navigating the complexities of the planning system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver planning applications from inception through to decision.
  • Provide professional advice to clients on all planning matters.
  • Prepare and submit planning reports, applications, and appeals.
  • Engage with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on local planning policy and changes to legislation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of planning documents and strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.

Key Requirements:

  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
  • MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) or working towards this.
  • Previous experience in a planning role, ideally within a consultancy or local authority setting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of UK planning policy, legislation, and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).
