Job Title: Senior Town PlannerLocation: Kent

About the Role:Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well establish multidisciplinary who are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a dynamic and growing team to support a wide range of planning projects. In this role, you will take the lead on smaller projects from inception through to completion, attending client meetings, and liaising with local authorities and external consultants. You will also play an integral part in medium to larger projects, working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality planning solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage small planning projects, ensuring successful delivery from start to finish.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, and external consultants.
  • Work as an active team player in larger, more complex projects.
  • Provide advice on planning matters to clients, guiding them through the planning process.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, as well as handling appeals where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities.
  • Assist in business development activities and contribute to team growth.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • A solid understanding of the UK planning system and local government processes.
  • A minimum of three years' experience working in the planning industry.
  • MRTPI qualified or working towards achieving membership.
  • A proactive, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team.
  • A full UK driving licence is required for site visits and client meetings.
