Premier Recruitment Group is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm in Maidstone, who are seeking an experienced Family Law Legal Secretary to join their renowned Family team.

About the Role

We are looking for a capable Secretary to support our respected Family team, which handles a variety of family law matters, including complex financial cases, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, domestic violence issues and children's matters. This role offers diversity and the chance to work within a supportive and dynamic environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and solicitors, both in writing and over the phone
  • Diary management for Fee Earners and arranging meetings, including booking meeting rooms and preparing necessary documents
  • Typing and document preparation via audio/digital dictation and established team precedents
  • Keeping electronic files up-to-date and handling file openings, closures, and archiving

Ideal Legal Secretary:

The ideal person will have prior experience as a Legal Secretary within Family Law. Strong communication skills and a professional phone manner are essential, as is excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Competence in IT systems and numeracy skills, particularly with financial ledgers, are required; training will be provided as needed.

Due to the sensitive nature of family law, discretion and confidentiality are essential. While you will work closely with specific fee earners, teamwork is key, and you must be comfortable collaborating with other secretaries to manage workloads.
