A reputable law firm in Maidstone are looking for a Legal Secretary to join their Family team. This individual will be responsible for supporting fee earners within the team with secretarial duties, including but not limited to:

Main responsibilities

  • Answering calls, taking clear and precise messages and passing on to the relevant fee earner
  • Administration to include daily filing, typing, responsibility for client files, photocopying, scanning, preparing mail and enclosures, and arranging client visits.
  • Arranging appointments, booking meeting rooms and coordinating fee-earners calendar.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and client documentation and information.

About you

  • You will be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel and other packages that may be relevant to the role
  • Previous experience as a legal secretary, preferably within family but I will consider experience from all other practice areas
  • You must possess a high level of organisational skills with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • You will be positive and professional, work well under pressure and able to work independently and as part of a team.
