About the Role

  • Based at Maidstone, Kent
  • £55,939 + Car / Car Allowance + 10% Bonus + Benefits

What will I be doing?

  • You will be responsible for managing the collection of recyclable materials in a way that protects the public and the environment, reducing the impact of waste handling operations on the wider environment and by maintaining successful working relationships with the client. This will ensure that SUEZ recycling and recovery UK is perceived as a reputable, value for money service provider to members of the public, helping to secure future business.
  • You will work closely with the other members of the team and must ensure all the facets of the business are carried out in compliance with or exceed the contractual requirements and are in accordance with HSE regulatory and SUEZ internal health and safety and environmental standards. You must also maintain the performance standards of the contract, as measured by the relevant KPI’s as agreed with the client.
  • Key responsibilities of the role include controlling all elements of the business to deliver the terms of the contract whilst maximising company profit. In addition, you will work with all stakeholders to ensure that continuous improvement across all areas is achieved and that appropriate employee levels are in place to deliver the contract requirements in a safe and effective manner.

What are the requirements?

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate and negotiate at all levels internally and externally. Working as part of a strong team, you will have experience of financial reporting, managing budgets and producing / developing business plans and you should have experience of managing a large site / team.

You will also require:

  • A Certificate in professional competence in road transport operation.
  • An IOSH managing safely qualification.
  • A certificate of technical competence in waste management.
