An experienced Maintenance Technician is required by our client a Ingredient company based in Kent. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to relevant current legislation/regulations, health & safety, maintenance systems and processes to support production needs as and when required. The main day to day duties:
- Maintain critical equipment through reactive, planned and preventative activities.
- Prioritise planned and reactive work orders through guidance from Engineering Supervisor
- Support key stakeholders within a timely and professional manner.
- Keep all records up to date through CCMS system.
- Report to Engineering Supervisor with solutions on major and chronic breakdowns.
- Manage on site contractors through PTW and RAMS.
- Lead problem solving and continuous improvement to boost efficiency
- Carry our project work and installations to current UK Regulations.
- Demonstrate good housekeeping at all times.
- Make sure food hygiene and food safety standards are upheld at all times
- Ensure smooth hand overs across shifts and communicate effectively with other department members.
The successful candidate should have a strong academic track record in process engineering related discipline, or be a time served maintenance technician with process control experience in a manufacturing environment.
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, Manufacturing or related Engineering discipline, or a time served Maintenance Technician with suitable experience in a production environment. At least 5 years experience in ideally a food manufacturing environment. A proven track record in production technical processes. IOSHH will be an advantage.
