Job Title: Advertising Manager
 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Meet established sales targets and ensure the timely administration of all advertisements in line with the production schedule.

Reports to: Group Sales Manager
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Commission: £1,000 per target achieved (10 targets annually)

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Achieve sales goals as agreed with the Media Director, assessed on an annual and monthly basis.
  2. Ensure all client advertisements are received and sent to production within the specified magazine deadlines.
  3. Provide accurate paperwork to the Journal Secretary for invoicing purposes.
  4. Ensure the magazine is delivered to the printer by the agreed deadline.

Duties:

  1. Regular communication via telephone and email with clients and agents, including 40-50 sales calls and follow-ups daily, while maintaining strong relationships through ongoing contact.
  2. Ensure sufficient sales are generated to meet the magazine’s scheduled dispatch dates, as determined annually.
  3. Confirm that signed orders are received and processed accurately before sending advertisement materials to production, and submit the confirmation to the Journal Secretary.
  4. Attend relevant industry shows and exhibitions, which may require travel and time away from home.
  5. Collaborate with the magazine team to ensure smooth production and publication.
  6. Stay updated on the confirmed revenue for current and upcoming issues, as well as any pending sales.
  7. Take on additional tasks as needed, within your abilities and responsibilities, to support business operations.
