We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join a vibrant and forward-thinking school in Maidstone. This is a full-time, temporary position starting immediately and running until Easter or longer. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in nurturing and inspiring the youngest minds in the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of each child.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a holistic approach to education.
- Conduct regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- Establish effective communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and well-being.
- Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and independent learning.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in Early Years or Key Stage 1.
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and the ability to implement it effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A passion for providing high-quality education and fostering a love for learning.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of young learners.
- Proven organizational and time-management skills.
