Tradewind are recruiting for an experienced Year 6 Teacher for a Primary School in Medway to start immediately. This will be on a full-time basis and will be on a temp-to-perm basis. Interviews will also commence ASAP. On of the key aims will be to help raise standards in Maths and English, and someone with experience teaching Year 6 is preferable.

This is a large multi-form entry Primary school that has been observed to be Good by Ofsted. The school is part of a larger multi-academy trust and has family and community at the heart of its ethos. Their school motto of "Be the best at what at what you do" is an anchor for the standards that the school looks to maintain for their pupils. The school is also accessible via public transport and has on site parking.

The Role

  • Planning and delivering the Primary Curriculum in Y6
  • Responsibility for ensuring your cohort is supported, and challenged appropriately with the work set.
  • Managing behaviour within the classroom effectively
  • Liaising with Parents/Guardians on the progress and/or potential development areas of students

Requirements

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
  • Experience teaching the UK Primary Curriculum KS2, Year 6 experience would be highly desirable but not essential.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS (DBS on the update service is highly desirable)
  • Have right to work in the UK
