A long established manufacturing company in Medway Towns are looking to recruit a Final InspectionFactory Operative to carry out the inspection and quality control of their manufactured castings on a permanent basis.

You will be working in the Final Inspection Department and the role is an integral one, offering certified training for inspection.

Your duties will include:

  • Performing operational performance tests and calibrations using techniques specified
  • Understanding and applying proper cleaning and any other necessary preparation of the parts before and / or after inspection.
  • Proficiently setting up test pieces and conducting the required test of the part or assembly in accordance with specific procedures.
  • Conducting pre-use checks on all equipment.
  • Meeting production output targets - daily and monthly.
  • Performing the relevant plant maintenance and checks
  • Recording data needed on the Inspection Log and Job Card.

Whilst full training will be given for the right candidates, a background in manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous.

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday, 06:00-16.30 and Friday 06.00-14.30 (48 hours per week)
