An exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Supervisor has arisen for our client a global supplier of ingredients and premix manufacturing solutions to the food, beverage and nutrition industries. Based in Kent, this is a Monday to Friday role with the hours of 6am-2pm everyday. Must have a background with Food Manufacturing or FMCG. To work closely with Production and Warehouse teams and liaise with the Operations Manager. Will ensure that Team Leaders follow the program, ensure the general housekeeping of the shift and correct batch completion. The main day to day duties:

  • Responsible for the successful completion and adherence of the Production Program.
  • Completion of weekly and daily shift plans.
  • Maintaining compliance against internal and customer audit requirements.
  • Batch document monitoring throughout each production stage to ensure correct completion.
  • Completion of all required reports and record keeping of all production admin.
  • Involvement in the upcoming program along with planning to ensure KPIs and deadlines are met in the most efficient way possible. Daily KPI measuring and recording.
  • Attendance at meetings when required.
  • Participation in projects when required.
  • Opening and locking of the factory when required.
  • Control of the day to day production activities and staff and provide necessary support to Operatives to enable them to perform production duties.
  • Provide adequate training to enable production operatives to complete tasks in accordance with the company procedures and maintain production training records to a high standard.
  • Day to day control and support of Team Leader activity.
  • Booking of agency staff and ensuring that cover levels are sufficient and in line with approved requirements.
  • Daily reporting to the Operations Manager.
  • Pre-blends overseeing.
  • Weekly meetings with the team to provide updates and get feedback
  • Lead process improvements within factory
  • Timesheets management for employees and agency staff
  • liaise closely with other departments including warehouse to ensure effective communication and planning.
  • Completion of daily SIC sheets
  • Record any deviations electronically
  • Carry out a variety of HR activity such as absence management, training, development, reviews, recruitment and disciplinary.
  • Approval of production holidays and management of absence.
  • Responsible for the shift structure
  • Drive and maintain H&S, Hygiene and quality standards.

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience managing a small-medium size team within production. Good leadership skills and keen to develop, educate and drive change from within. Excellent communication skills and project management knowledge. Must have a Food Manufacturing or FMCG background.
