Overview
An excellent opportunity awaits an experienced Senior Project/Contract Manager to join a dynamic and expanding Construction and Infrastructure business. The role involves supporting clients in delivering diverse construction infrastructure projects and programmes across the South and South East of the UK.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Highways/Construction, Rail, and Civils, with demonstrable expertise in managing complex projects and a strong understanding of industry processes. The projects typically range from £0.5m to £5m in value.
Salary
Negotiable, between £60,000 - £70,000, dependent on experience.
Key Responsibilities
1.Project Planning:
oDevelop detailed project plans outlining scope, resources, timelines, and budgets.
2.Team Leadership:
oAssemble and lead diverse project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, to meet project objectives.
3.Resource Management:
oAllocate and manage resources effectively to achieve project milestones.
4.Budget Control:
oMonitor and manage project costs to ensure adherence to the budget.
5.Risk Management:
oIdentify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
6.Stakeholder Communication:
oMaintain consistent and transparent communication with clients, team members, and suppliers.
7.Health & Safety:
oEnsure compliance with CDM regulations and maintain a strong focus on site health and safety practices.
8.Contract Management:
oWork within the framework of approved contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT)

Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
·Significant experience managing complex construction projects.
·Broad knowledge of health and safety regulations, including CDM Regulations.
·Experience working on public contracts.
·Degree in a construction-related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
·Chartered or qualified with ICE, APM, RICS, or equivalent.
·A minimum of 10 years' experience in construction project management.
Desirable Attributes:
·Self-motivated with strong strategic problem-solving abilities.
·Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and contracts effectively.
