Conduct assessments of children and young people with special educational needs, providing statutory advice in line with the 2014 Children and Families Act and SEND Code of Practice.
Contribute to tribunal procedures where necessary.
Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals to support children’s development and educational progress.
Ensure concerns related to Child Protection or Children in Need are reported according to local procedures.
Promote inclusive, evidence-based practices in schools to improve education access and attainment, particularly for vulnerable children.
Produce high-quality reports following established templates and protocols.
Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain a high standard of practice.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

Qualified status in Educational and Child Psychology, approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS) or equivalent.
Graduate Basis for Registration and a recognised postgraduate qualification in Educational and Child Psychology.
Registered or eligible for registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Previous experience as an educational psychologist or completing a recognised postgraduate qualification in the field.
Strong knowledge of child development, psychological models, and child-related legislation.
Commitment to inclusive practice and equal opportunities in schools.
