If you are passionate about helping young people and have the required qualifications and experience, we’d love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments of children and young people with special educational needs, providing statutory advice in line with the 2014 Children and Families Act and SEND Code of Practice.
  • Contribute to tribunal procedures where necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with parents, schools, and other professionals to support children’s development and educational progress.
  • Ensure concerns related to Child Protection or Children in Need are reported according to local procedures.
  • Promote inclusive, evidence-based practices in schools to improve education access and attainment, particularly for vulnerable children.
  • Produce high-quality reports following established templates and protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to maintain a high standard of practice.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified status in Educational and Child Psychology, approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS) or equivalent.
  • Graduate Basis for Registration and a recognised postgraduate qualification in Educational and Child Psychology.
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Previous experience as an educational psychologist or completing a recognised postgraduate qualification in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, psychological models, and child-related legislation.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and equal opportunities in schools.
