Maintenance Planner

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner to coordinate and manage both planned and reactive outage activities at a leading Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility. This role ensures that all resources are utilised effectively to maximise plant performance, availability, and efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety, health, environment and quality.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Planner include: 

  • Plan, oversee, and execute scheduled outages for multiple plant lines, including the steam turbine/generator and common plant systems.
  • Develop efficient workflow processes to optimise resource allocation.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Lead the enhancement and development of the Computerised Maintenance Management System. 
  • Support and collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with safety standards and protocols.
  • Conduct inductions for visitors and subcontractors regarding site safety and emergency procedures.
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping standards across the site.
  • Prepare and submit financial applications for funding related to outage activities.
  • Manage the procurement of stock and non-stock materials to ensure availability when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar outage planning or maintenance coordination role, ideally within the energy, waste management, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance planning, project management, and safety compliance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and asset management systems.
