Procurement Assistant

Mon-Fri / 37.5 hours a week / 08.30-17.00

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 DOE

Mid Kent

Pearson Whiffin are recruiting for a Procurement Support Officer to join our client who are based in Mid Kent. The ideal candidate will have some previous experience within a similar role, a methodological approach and a willingness to learn, you will be supporting the Procurement Operations Manager to ensure the smooth running of the daily operations.

Duties include:

  • Being the point of contact to suppliers following up on services and products.
  • Working closely with internal departments
  • Ensuring invoices are processed in a timely manner
  • Ensure the Invoice checking process is followed and accurate reporting
  • Dealing with Transport and Customs invoices
  • Maintaining and updating the CRM database with accurate information
  • Processing Freight invoices

To be considered for this role, you must have/be:

  • Previous experience within a similar role is ideal but not essential, Packhouse admin experience will be considered
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel experience is essential
  • Able to demonstrate confidence dealing with formulas, graphs and data entry
  • Able to thrive when working to deadlines
  • A proactive approach and meticulous attention to detail
  • Able to pick up new systems quickly and effectively
