Huntress Recruitment is thrilled to advertise an excellent opportunity for a Procurement Assistant to join our client's team in Medway. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented individual looking to build their career in procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the sourcing and procurement of goods and services to support project and operational needs.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to procurement policies.
- Maintain supplier records, update procurement databases, and monitor inventory levels.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors, negotiating prices and tracking order status to ensure timely delivery.
- Support the Procurement Manager with administrative tasks and data analysis to improve purchasing efficiency.
- Address and resolve any issues related to orders, deliveries, or supplier performance.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with procurement software is beneficial.
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team.
