Caddy Group is seeking an experienced Groundwork Quantity Surveyor our client. The company is renowned for delivering top-quality groundwork and civil engineering services across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects and contribute to the continued success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets and cost plans.
  • Conduct accurate measurements and valuations of work completed on-site.
  • Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Assess and certify subcontractor payments and variations.
  • Monitor and manage project cash flow, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
  • Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and company procedures.
  • Support the project management team in delivering successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the groundworks or civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, QS software).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, RICS accredited degree).
  • Full UK driving license is preferred.
