Caddy Group is seeking an experienced Groundwork Quantity Surveyor our client. The company is renowned for delivering top-quality groundwork and civil engineering services across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, manage, and report on project budgets and cost plans.
- Conduct accurate measurements and valuations of work completed on-site.
- Manage procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assess and certify subcontractor payments and variations.
- Monitor and manage project cash flow, ensuring timely invoicing and payments.
- Provide regular financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations and company procedures.
- Support the project management team in delivering successful project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the groundworks or civil engineering sector.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, QS software).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., BSc in Quantity Surveying, RICS accredited degree).
- Full UK driving license is preferred.
