Quantity Surveyor required to join a leading flat roof and waterproofing specialist in Kent. The company work on a range of high-quality commercial and industrial roofing projects across London and the South-East. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of our roofing projects. You will work closely with our project management and construction teams to ensure that projects are completed within budget and to the highest standards.



Quantity Surveyor Position Remuneration

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

  • Cost Management: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for roofing projects, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness.
  • Tendering: Assist in the preparation and analysis of tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure all contract terms are adhered to.
  • Valuations: Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and prepare interim and final valuations.
  • Cost Reporting: Monitor project costs and financial performance, providing regular updates and reports to management.
  • Contract Administration: Manage contractual documentation, including variations, claims, and dispute resolutions.
  • Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies.


Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

  • Education / qualifications in a subject relating to Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Commercial Management.
  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the roofing industry (ideally commercial flat roofing)
  • Proficient in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).
  • In-depth understanding of roofing materials, construction methods, and industry regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
