This is a newly created role as a result of a significant, recently awarded tender, the role presents the Senior Quantity Surveyor the opportunity to join a world-class organisation with renowned training and career development programmes and the chance to develop a rewarding long-term career.
The Role
- Working as part of a commercial team reporting to the Managing Quantity Surveyor, the Senior QS will be involved with every aspect of the commercial life cycle of schemes including:
- Sub-contract monitoring and management, cost reporting and forecasting,
- Managing early warnings and change control, agreeing on final accounts with the supply chain.
- Stakeholder Management
- Cost and Value Reporting
- Supporting operations team with commercial advice
- Providing leadership to junior Quantity Surveyors
Experienced Required
- Suitable applicants must be educated to HNC /BSc Quantity Surveying or similar and will be able to demonstrate experience working at Quantity Surveying or Senior QS level within the civil engineering sector.
- The role could suit an experienced Senior QS or a Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step up the career ladder to Senior QS level.
- Project experience on civils, infrastructure or utility schemes is essential An understanding of NEC contracts and excellent presentation and communication skills are also essential
- Quantity Surveyors wishing to apply must be confident in dealing with stakeholders from different disciplines to establish a complete commercial understanding
