I have some new Quantity Surveying positions in Kent, working on build and/or civil engineering projects!

Location: Near Maidstone, Kent

Contract type: Permanent

Start date: ASAP

Salary: £55 - 75k (negotiable - depending upon experience/level)

The Projects:

A diverse portfolio of both civil engineering and build schemes; ranging from road improvements, concrete repairs & reinstatements, aviation projects, paving repairs, utilities and specialist framework projects, new build schools, hospitals and warehouses.

The Role:

This is the perfect opportunity working an excellent company, who hold an excellent reputation in the industry.

This role will be site / office based with some flexibility to work from home too.

You will be responsible for:

  • Procuring sub-contractors, agreeing prices and letting the packages
  • Negotiating costs with various parties
  • Drawing up contracts (NEC)
  • Monthly reporting (CVR)
  • Responsible for work packagechange controland management
  • Dealing with any pricing variations
  • Responsible for project re-measure
  • Preparing final accounts
  • Change management
  • Managing subcontractors
  • Working within an integrated team

Requirements:

  • NEC / JCT
  • Degree / HND in Quantity Surveying
  • Excellent IT and maths skills are essential
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent report writing and negotiation skills are essential
  • Experience in - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works and / or build and residential

Benefits:

  • £55,000 - 70,000 per annum (depending on experience) + package
