Our client, a massive Tier 1 main contractor with a significant presence in Kent, is seeking a dynamic and skilled professional to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a well-established and reputable business delivering projects valued between £10m and £40m.

About the Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will provide commercial expertise and take the lead on key projects, ensuring successful financial and contractual outcomes. You will be responsible for:

  • Leading the commercial management of education sector projects, ensuring cost control and financial success.

  • Delivering accurate and timely commercial reporting to support project delivery.

  • Managing your own projects with a focus on 2-stage tendering.

  • Overseeing and mentoring junior surveyors, ensuring team efficiency and growth.

  • Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

  • Ensuring compliance with company financial and commercial procedures.

The Ideal Candidate:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a Project or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.

  • Strong background working on education sector projects.

  • Experience in managing 2-stage tender projects.

  • A HNC/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.

  • Membership of RICS or similar professional body (desirable).

  • Proficiency in commercial and financial management systems (e.g., COINS, Sphere, or similar).

  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
