Commercial Real Estate & Land Acquisition role, acquiring new assets for the Group to support business growth both in the UK and Europe. Site origination and deal execution for both Group occupation and sublease transactions with established and new partners.

Our client has over 30 years of commercial land acquisition and deal experience across the UK and is now in its next major growth phase, expanding across the UK and into Western Europe. Description

  • Acquire significant numbers (month on month) of commercial assets, including land, throughout the UK and Europe.
  • Lead and manage the existing portfolio across the Group, both standing operational assets and re-development / growth asset opportunities.
  • Deliver and manage commercial projects.
  • Utilise existing, and build new networks, of Real Estate agents and third parties across the UK and Europe to support acquisition growth.
  • Develop the acquisitions strategy to drive further growth for the business.
  • Produce and provide individual business cases on all new acquisitions and sites.
  • Produce Board reports and slide decks / presentations.
  • Take ownership of regular progress and update reporting to the Property Director and Board.
  • Foster an environment of trust and respect within the Property Team, providing support, encouraging creativity, being responsible and accountable for all acquisition processes.
  • Develop win-win relationships with existing, potential and future tenants, landlords and key suppliers.

Profile

  • Real Estate or other Built Environment degree (BSc / MSc)
  • Full MRICS surveyor.
  • Full clean UK Driving Licence - the role is fully remote with lots of travel in the UK and will involve travel to Europe as well.
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills and a track record of acquiring commercial assets and land.
  • Excellent pitch / slide deck presentation skills - attention to detail in both content and aesthetics is essential.
  • Professional experience of managing a varied property portfolio including land
  • Extensive understanding of real estate, with a proven track record of successful real estate acquisitions in commercial property.
  • Analytical thinking with experience in asset / business case preparation.
  • Broad understanding of the real estate planning process in the UK (and ideally Europe).
  • An ability to work both independently and as an integral part of a wider team across the UK and Europe, with minimal supervision
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering within agreed budgets.
  • An ability to manage multiple diverse projects with different stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
  • Strike the right balance between cost and setting performance targets to ensure the right behaviours are promoted within the business leading to additional growth.
