We are currently seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant for a temporary position on behalf of our esteemed client based in Maidstone. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in finance to contribute to a dynamic team.
Finance Assistant Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
- Completing purchase orders and managing payroll
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Entering financial information into appropriate software programs
- Managing company ledgers
- Processing business expenses and managing budgets and petty cash
- Coordinating internal and external audits
- Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
- Verifying bank deposits and managing day-to-day transactions
- Reporting on debtors and creditors
- Handling accruals and prepayments
- Managing monthly budgeting tasks
Finance Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar Finance Assistant role
- Strong understanding of finance regulations and accounting processes
- High level of organisational skills and ability to manage a number of projects at the same time
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Knowledge of financial software and advanced MS Excel skills
- Data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
- Good attention to detail and analytical skills
