About the Role
We are looking for a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Design and Technology teacher for an exciting new position. This is a fantastic opportunity to continue your teaching career and make a positive impact on students' learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Design & Technology and Engineering across KS3 to KS5, delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students.
- Plan, prepare, and assess high-quality lessons, ensuring progress and achievement for all students in line with curriculum requirements.
- Manage and maintain workshop equipment and resources, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
- Support students with coursework and practical projects, guiding them through design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to the department's development, including curriculum planning, extracurricular activities, and school-wide initiatives.
- Fulfil full teaching responsibilities, including marking, reporting, attending meetings, and engaging with parents and guardians.
Qualifications:
Qualified Teacher Status or strong experience teaching Design and Technology
Health and Safety Certificates for Machinery
A passion for education and working with children.
