Tradewind Recruitment is working with an OFSTED Good rated Secondary school known for its commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience for students and staff alike. The school fosters a culture of academic achievement and personal development, where both students and staff are encouraged to reach their fullest potential.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated English Teacher to join on a full-time basis, starting ASAP and continuing until the end of the academic year. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons that inspire a love for English in their students. You will play a vital role in shaping young minds, helping them develop critical thinking skills and a deep understanding of English, including Language and Literature.

Key Responsibilities - English Teacher:

  • Planning and delivering high-quality English lessons in line with the GCSE curriculum.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and challenged.
  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the overall learning experience.
  • Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.

Requirements - English Teacher:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an alternative, equivalent qualification
  • Have experience teaching English to KS4 level
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English
  • Own or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the Update Service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
  • Have legal right to work in the UK
