We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about literature and language and is committed to helping students enhance their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills.
Day to Day of the Role:- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students across various key stages.
- Utilize creative teaching methods to captivate the interest of students and enhance their learning experience.
- Assess and evaluate studentsā progress through both formative and summative assessments.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to aid in their academic and personal development.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and respect.
- Collaborate with other English department staff to develop curriculum materials and effective teaching strategies.
- Participate in department meetings and school training sessions.
- A degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English at a secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the UK English curriculum.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the students and the school.
